WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Ability to multitask and coordinate workflow from multiple different departments in one setting. Staff are accountable for 24/7 coverage. Associate Director must be available to coordinate staffing on off hours when needed.

Heart Services at UW Medicine organized within the Regional Heart Center (RHC) provide comprehensive cardiac services within the Puget Sound area as well as full-service regional collaboration in cardiovascular medicine with physicians and communities throughout the five-state region of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana (WWAMI).

UW Medicine Regional Heart Center is recruiting for an Associate Director, Cardiac Ambulatory Services. This individual will provide leadership and coordination for the Cardiac Ambulatory Services. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and managing the operational, financial, personnel and administrative activities for the following departments: Cardiology Clinic, 24/7 Echo Lab that provides inpatient and outpatient services, 24/7 ECG lab that provides inpatient and outpatient services, and the RHC Edmonds Clinic and Echo services (remote site).

Lead a team of 110 staff members of various job titles. This administrative leader will collaborate with all RHC physicians and Section Head medical leaders to coordinate process and patient flow in concert with the RHC medical leadership.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business, or Nursing AND 6-8 years of ambulatory or hospital patient care leadership experience. Leadership experience in cardiovascular patient care in a hospital setting, academic or community healthcare organization preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
